Communities

Boats
We use the term ‘Boats’ for our wide range of long-standing and short term communities that express the love of Jesus by serving the city and beyond in a specific way. Many of these are open for new members to join.
These are listed after our Life Groups section below.

Life groups
Mostly fortnightly
We have several ‘Life Groups’ that meet regularly in homes for people to pray, read the bible and encourage each other.
Contact Hannah in the office to inquire about joining a Life Group.

Celebrate Recovery
Mondays - 7pm refreshments, 7.30pm meeting start
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered, 12 step recovery program that is helping to transform lives. This is for anyone struggling with hurt, pain or addiction of any kind. We host a safe place to find community and freedom from the issues that are controlling our life. Worry, addiction, unforgiveness, shame, relationship issues; these are just some of the burdens that people carry. There is hope for change. Each week is an opportunity of a new start and ongoing support for men and women as they seek freedom from issues that have been spoiling their lives. The evening starts with large group time, followed by smaller, gender specific, confidential discussion groups.
All are welcome.

Monthly Prayer Day
First Tuesday of each month
As a church, one of the main ways that we pray together is through our monthly day of prayer. This comprises a range of led prayer times and a prayer theme for the day. Details are posted each month on our social media channels.

Youth

Kids

We’ve always dreamed that Hope will be a church that children love, and that seems to be a dream come true! Various groups for different ages meet in the second half of the service on a Sunday morning. All children are welcome to be part of these fun times of exploring and worshipping Jesus.
Contact Meredith Remington, our Children’s Pastor, for more information.

Community Soup Lunch

Soup Run
One Wednesday evening a month
Hope is part of the Bristol Soup Run, taking soup and other food to the homeless on one Wednesday evening each month. The Soup Run started in 1986 and provides food to Bristol's homeless community every night of the year. If you are interested in joining the Soup Run team contact the Hope Office.

organic Worship
First Wednesday of each month, 7.30-9.30pm
The heart of Organic Worship is to gather people together to worship Jesus, to communicate our affection for Him in free, spontaneous worship. It’s led by Christians from various Bristol churches and based in Hope Chapel.

Living Free
Courses run seasonally.
The teaching within the Living Free course has had a massive affect on us at Hope and many friends from other churches around the UK. It shapes our culture and we highly recommend that everyone join a Living Free course. We run at least one course a year which includes ‘Original Design’ and ‘Freedom Prayer.’ Hundreds of people have found the course to be transformational. All are welcome!
Contact the office for more information about the next course.

Ukraine Community
Adhoc Thursdays, 5-7pm
